Winter Coats Worth Wearing

My coat addiction has been longstanding and is serious. Needless to say, I have many. But there's no such thing as too many, and I'm always in the market for another. As it's January here are some of my top warm options for freezing cold school runs, shopping trips and general life.

Starting top left is this standout black quilted shell hooded jacket from Claudie Pierlot. I own this exact coat already in navy - and while I can’t quite justify adding it in black as well, I do love it in this colour and it’s an easy recommendation from me. Loving this Roseville Down Jacket by Varley - in fact I love this whole look. Always a fan of an oversized collar, and I like the proportions of this against the slightly oversized boxy silhouette. The textures of this are elegant too - with the mix of nubuck PU with the sherpa collar. Buy direct from Varley.

This oversized recycled down puffer jacket from Weekday is ticking a lot of boxes. I love this tone of brown for one, and the puffiness of it is a 10/10. I would want to be wearing this while stood watching my kids play sports on a cold winter's day (though maybe not with a short skirt and no tights on!) Buy at Weekday

Sticking with brown I also love the more unusual tone of this Upcycled Down Puffer Jacket from Arket. More of a classic in terms of shape and detail - but would still go for this based on the colour and because it's insulated with a down-feather blend so I'm guessing it's cosy. Buy at Arket.

Lastly, I found this Levi's Women's Western Midi Bubble Puffer. The drawstring waist detail is more flattering, and I think the big pockets on the outside are a stylish detail. The price point of this one is good too – currently on sale at MandM.
